Where do we live?
Accomodations vary between the year-round and summer programs. Please visit the Best of NY page of this website.

Who comes to the program?
Students come from all over the country and from around the world. Last summer students hailed from Los Angeles, Detroit, Atlanta, Kansas City, Paris, Strasbourg, and various cities in New Jersey, Maryland, and Israel.

How do we spend Shabbat?
There are two Shabbatons during the summer program and during the remaining two weekends students enjoy home hospitality.

What kind of background in Jewish texts is required?
Students come to Drisha with a wide range of skills. Some proficiency in reading Hebrew is generally advised, but other than that Drisha welcomes students from all backgrounds.

I attend public school. Will I fit in?
Absolutely. Each year the Drisha welcomes public school students who especially appreciate the opportunity to delve full-time into Jewish texts.

Will I be safe in NYC?
Your safety is our foremost concern. While NYC, like any big city, has its risks, students always travel accompanied by teachers or madrichot and there are full-time security guards at the 92nd st Y.
